The Detour of Comfort: Navigating Familiar Routes in Life

Greetings, dear readers! Welcome back to The Grace Diary, where we dive into the intersection of our everyday experiences and the timeless truths found in the Word of God. Today, we embark on a journey inspired by a personal revelation during the closure of schools last November. Join me in exploring the profound parallels between a simple commute and the intricate tapestry of our Christian lives. My Personal Experience In November, a peculiar revelation unfolded during a period when schools were closed, and my daily routine seemed to be humming along as usual. Despite leaving my home on time, I found myself consistently arriving late at work, a puzzling deviation from my regular punctuality. My initial self-assurance attributed the tardiness to heavy traffic on the route to town. Day after day, I consoled myself with this explanation until a moment of realization prompted me to reconsider. One day, determined to solve the mystery of my perpetual lateness, I decided to deviate from the

The Mystery of Life๐ŸŒน

What Exactly is Life?

Life is a phenomenon that has no specific definition. Well, some of the most common 'definitions of life' are: life's a journey, life is what you make it... and the list goes on...

My take is... Life is life... Nothing can possibly define it to completion.

The unexpected happens, the impossible is done, birth and death occur simultaneously... Now that's life... Cause life is life... Nothing can possibly define it.

Your today's best friend is your tomorrow's best enemy. Your today's spouse is your tomorrow's ex-spouse. Your today's guard is your tomorrow's killer. Wasn't Abel killed by his own blood brother? A King, Herod Antipas, took his own brother's wife, Herodias; married her and divorced his lawful wife.  Because life is life... Nothing can possibly define it.

God warns us about being boastful and proud because He humbles the proud and uplifts the lowly. You can be financially stable today; rich, driving the most expensive car and yet tomorrow you  can be the street beggar in ragged clothes; not in a position to afford a simple meal. Remember the story about the rich man and Lazarus? The rich man could not invite Lazarus to share a meal with him at the table, instead gave Lazarus leftovers which he had to share with the dogs. Well time came for the two to leave earth and guess who went to live large in heaven... Lazarus! And as for the rich man, he wasn't living large at all since he went to hell. Today she is your maid but tomorrow she will be your boss. Esther became a queen in a foreign land yet she was just a slave girl. Because life is life... Nothing can possibly define it.

The poor complain of hunger while the rich complain of obesity. While others live in highly unsecured places, others complain of not having enough security to guard them. Because life is life...  Nothing can possibly define.

Seems like Life remains to be a mystery that no human can define, describe or even claim to have a better understanding of it. It remains to be a phenomenon that humans deal with and without knowing what exactly it is.

Put your trust in God because He's the only one who understands this phenomenon called Life. Things will happen but He'll make you understand why they did. Because God is actually life.
